FSX Caledonia County Airport Scenery

Caledonia County Airport (KB8) in Lyndonville, Vermont gets a scenery refresh for FSX with upgraded buildings, a replaced fuel depot, and a detailed parking lot with cars. Static aircraft, lightpoles, roadside telephone poles, and added trees enhance the airfield while keeping everything accurate and library-free using stock objects.

Caledonia County Airport (KB8), Lydonville, Vermont (VT). An improved version with replaced buildings, added parking lot, static planes and more. By Jim Cook.

Caledonia County Airport Scenery.

Caledonia County Airport Scenery.

Here is an improved version of the stock Caledonia County Airport. I was asked to add a static airplane or two to this airport, but when I got there, it was so nice and so scenic that I went crazy and replaced a couple of buildings, replaced the fuel depot, added a parking lot with cars, static planes, lightpoles and telephone poles along the road and a few hemlock trees.

Caledonia County is in northwest Vermont, a pretty place to fly in any season.

I use Ultimate Terrain and FSGenesis landclass but they are not required. All objects are stock FSX so no additional object libraries are needed. Updates made using AirNav diagrams and Google Earth to be as accurate as possible. All work done with Flight 1's AFX program and Instant Scenery.

INSTALLATION:

Extract the two files KB8_AFX_JC.bgl and KB8_JC.bgl into your Addon Scenery/Scenery folder, re-start FSX and enjoy.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
  3. Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.
  4. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
