The renowned Abu Dhabi Corniche hosts the Red Bull Air Race challenges with a distinctive layout. This add-on reconstructs the pylons and racetrack, integrating the precise checkpoints to mirror the real-world spectacle. Nearby urban elements are also included to improve the sense of immersion, consistently maintaining moderate impact on performance. All race gates have been positioned according to the 2010 setup.

The mashup of detailed three-dimensional objects and the unique coastal setting of the United Arab Emirates ensures pilots can practice razor-sharp aerobatics in a realistic environment. Installing This Add-On

  • For Windows Vista and Windows 7 (x86): Launch the provided .exe installer and target the directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Addon Scenery. After the installation completes, restart Microsoft Flight Simulator X.
  • For Windows XP: Direct the installation to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Addon Scenery before relaunching.

Once the software is open, go into “Settings” > “Scenery Library” and add the newly placed folder named Abu Dhabi 2010. Ensure the following layering sequence to avoid potential visual conflicts:

  1. Abu Dhabi
  2. Abu Dhabi Road
  3. Red Bull Air Race Abu Dhabi 2010

After these steps, the racetrack objects and the associated scenery should be visible upon launching your chosen flight in this region.

Suggested Takeoff and Navigation

To discover the circuit, consider departing from OMAD airport and flying on a heading of 284° for about 19.6 nautical miles. The race pylons should become visible as you approach the Corniche shoreline. This location is ideal for practicing tight turns and high-speed maneuvers.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

    Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
  3. Activate in Scenery Library

    In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.
  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
