FSX Dominican Republic P-51D-5-NA FAD-1900

A historical representation of a Dominican owned and operated P-51D Mustang, circa 1970. This aircraft 44-13917, was interned in Sweden, fall of '44. It then became 26004 of the Swedish Air Force at Uppsala. In 1952, the Dominican Republic purchased many Mustangs from Sweden. Eventually, many of them were painted with Shark-Teeth, though the color and variation was of wide variety. This aircraft depicts FAD-1900, a rare D-5 model. This folder contains a repaint for the Warbirdsim P-51D-5-NA "Little Friends II" package. This skin is a historical representation of a Dominican owned and operated mustang, circa 1970. It was originally NAA s/n 27550, US AAF 44-13917. This P-51D-5-NA, was D7-L "You've Had it", of the 503rd FS, 339th FG, was interned in Sweden, fall of '44. It became 26004 of the Swedish Air Force at Uppsala.

Then, later it sold to the Dominican Republic, 1952 (perhaps October), and labeled for FAD "1900". (The first mustang of two to wear "1900").

The Dominican Republic purchased many mustangs from Sweden in the early fifties. I believe FAD-1900(1) was the only D-5 model, owned by the Dominican Republic.

They operated out of Base Aérea de San Isidro, and Base Aérea de Puerto Plata.

INSTALLATION:

1. Unzip to a temporary location.

2. Copy the "Texture.FAD1900" folder in this download to your "P-51D-5-NA Little Friends_Fillet" folder in FSX.

3. Copy and paste the following text into the aircraft.cfg file inside the 'P-51D-5-NA Little Friends_Fillet' folder (replacing the X with the next numbers in sequence after your last existing paint scheme (if the last paint scheme already on the list is fltsim.6, this should be fltsim.7).
