Microsoft Flight Simulator has a limited Boeing 757 selection. The main purpose-built choice is BlueBird Simulations’ payware 757; most other downloads are liveries, sound modifications or older FSX and Prepar3D aircraft that are not native MSFS add-ons. Confirm release status, simulator compatibility, platform support and the required base package before downloading.
Microsoft Flight Simulator does not include a default 757. A repaint, sound pack or cockpit modification therefore cannot provide a flyable aircraft by itself.
Which Boeing 757 add-on should you choose?
For a complete, purpose-built Boeing 757, BlueBird Simulations is the principal MSFS option to assess.

MSFS 2020, MSFS 2024 and release status
Compatibility must be checked separately because an MSFS 2020 release is not automatically a supported MSFS 2024 release. MSFS 2024 can run many packages designed for 2020, but complex avionics, installers, external applications and flight-model behaviour can still require an update.
The BlueBird 757 has had a long public development cycle, so we do not treat previews, roadmaps or announced variants as downloadable products. Look for an installable production build that names your simulator, and check passenger, freighter and other variants individually rather than assuming every planned model is included.
Do FSX or Prepar3D 757 add-ons work in MSFS?
No. A Boeing 757 built for FSX or Prepar3D cannot simply be copied into the MSFS Community folder. The model formats, gauges, systems code, sounds and flight-model definitions differ substantially.
Conversion tools may produce an aircraft that appears in the selection menu, but broken cockpits, missing animations, unusable avionics and licensing restrictions are common. Are there free Boeing 757 add-ons for MSFS?
Free MSFS 757 downloads are usually liveries or supporting modifications rather than a complete, high-fidelity aircraft. Read the dependency field before downloading: wording such as “repaint”, “livery” or “requires base model” means it will not add a standalone 757.
Our MSFS aircraft and mods library is the appropriate place to check for freeware, but confirm that each file names Microsoft Flight Simulator and the required 757 package. An FSX aircraft appearing in a general search result is not an MSFS version.
PC, Xbox and PlayStation 5 availability
PC users can install externally distributed aircraft and Community-folder packages. Xbox and PlayStation users can install only products made available for their console through the in-simulator Marketplace; a PC purchase or archive cannot be transferred manually.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 supports PC and Xbox, not PlayStation. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 also supports PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro, but Marketplace availability can differ between PC, Xbox and PlayStation. Never assume that an aircraft advertised for “MSFS” is sold on every platform.
What should you check before downloading a 757?
- Identify the product type: confirm that it is a complete aircraft rather than a livery, sound pack or enhancement.
- Match the simulator: look for explicit MSFS 2020 or MSFS 2024 support, not merely “Flight Simulator”.
- Check the platform: external installers and manual packages are for PC; consoles require a Marketplace release.
- Read what is included: passenger, cargo, engine and airframe variants may be separate products or later additions.
- Verify dependencies: a modification must name the exact base aircraft and sometimes a minimum supported build.
- Avoid legacy conversions: an FSX or Prepar3D 757 is not a substitute for a native MSFS package.
If a PC-installed 757 does not appear, close the simulator, extract the archive fully and make sure the package is not nested one folder too deep inside Community. Remove duplicate older copies as well. A missing base aircraft commonly causes a livery to disappear or display pink, chequered textures.
