Which Ryanair livery file should you choose?
Choose a repaint by its developer, aircraft model and variant—not simply by the words “A320” or “737”. Packages built around different aircraft models are not interchangeable.

A Ryanair livery normally appears as a paint option beneath its base aircraft. It does not usually create a separate flyable aircraft entry.
Will MSFS 2020 Ryanair liveries work in MSFS 2024?
Some MSFS 2020 Ryanair liveries work in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, but compatibility depends on the base aircraft and package structure. A repaint cannot load if MSFS 2024 uses a different model, package identity or texture layout.
Check the download description for explicit MSFS 2024 support, then use our MSFS 2020-to-2024 livery compatibility checks before moving a large collection. An aircraft-family match is not enough: a PMDG 737 repaint, for example, will not fit an unrelated default 737 model.
How do you install a Ryanair livery in MSFS?
On PC, extract the downloaded archive and place its package folder in the simulator’s Community folder. The folder containing files such as manifest.json and layout.json should not be buried inside unnecessary extra folders.
- Confirm the aircraft: Make sure the repaint names the exact default, FlyByWire or PMDG model you own.
- Extract the archive: Do not place the unopened ZIP file in
Community. - Copy the package: Keep it out of the simulator’s protected
Officialcontent folder. - Restart the simulator: Select the base aircraft, then choose the Ryanair paint from its livery options.
Store editions and custom installations place Community in different locations, so follow our Community-folder installation and troubleshooting instructions if you cannot find it.
Can you install downloaded liveries on Xbox or PlayStation 5?
External ZIP liveries cannot be installed on Xbox Series X|S, PS5 or PS5 Pro because console editions do not expose the PC Community folder. Console users are limited to liveries distributed through the simulator’s in-game content system and made available for that platform.
Why does the Ryanair livery not appear?
A missing Ryanair repaint usually means the package is for the wrong aircraft or is nested too deeply inside the Community folder.
- Wrong variant: Recheck the exact A320neo or 737 model named on the download page.
- Missing base aircraft: Install the required FlyByWire or PMDG aircraft before using its repaint.
- Double-nested folder: Move the actual package folder containing
manifest.jsonandlayout.jsondirectly underCommunity. - Duplicate versions: Remove older copies of the same repaint, which can conflict with an updated package.
- Safe Mode: Community add-ons are disabled when the simulator starts in Safe Mode.
- MSFS 2024 incompatibility: Remove the package and obtain a version made for the aircraft’s MSFS 2024 model rather than repeatedly reinstalling the same 2020 file.
