For Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 through Sim Update 5, we cannot verify a generally released, complete Airbus H225 add-on. Hype Performance Group's H225 is the principal dedicated project associated with modern MSFS, but a project announcement, preview or livery is not the same as an installable, supported MSFS 2024 aircraft.

Is the Hype Performance Group H225 released for MSFS 2024?
Through the Sim Update 5 generation of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, we would still treat the HPG H225 as a development project unless its public package information confirms otherwise. Videos, renders, development updates and private test builds establish that a project exists; they do not establish public availability.
A genuine release should provide an accessible complete-aircraft package, state which simulator generation it supports and identify any required companion software or base product. If those details are absent, wait rather than assuming that a previewed H225 can be installed.
How do I check whether an H225 download is the complete aircraft?
- Check the simulator label. It should name Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 explicitly. A package labelled only for MSFS 2020 may work through the compatibility layer, but that is not guaranteed support.
- Look for a base-aircraft requirement. Words such as “livery”, “repaint” or “texture” mean the download does not include the helicopter.
- Confirm the exact type. EC225 and H225 are closely related designations, while H145, H160 and H125 packages are entirely different aircraft.
- Check the platform. PC packages placed in the
Communityfolder cannot simply be transferred to Xbox Series X|S or PlayStation 5. Console users require a version distributed through the simulator's console add-on system. - Read the compatibility notes. An aircraft can appear in the selection screen yet still have broken cockpit interaction, systems, rotor animation or flight dynamics.

Can an older H225 model be converted to MSFS 2024?
An FSX or Prepar3D H225 cannot be made into an MSFS 2024 aircraft by copying its folder into Community. Those simulators use different model, material, animation, gauge and flight-dynamics systems. A proper conversion requires the source assets and extensive redevelopment; a folder edit or replacement manifest is not enough.
MSFS 2020 aircraft are a different case because MSFS 2024 includes compatibility support, but complex helicopters remain sensitive to changes in flight modelling, input events and external modules. Use a 2020 package in 2024 only when its developer approves that configuration.
Are there free H225 alternatives?
