Limited instrument coverage

Clare Municipal has two runway alignments but an instrument approach to only one of its four runway ends. That single procedure is RNAV (GPS), so the chart set provides no instrument approach for the other three ends and no alternative approach type. No airport diagram is published.

Runways and surrounding chart coverage

Runway 04/22 offers 1,001 ft more length than 09/27; an aircraft requiring more than 2,499 ft is therefore limited to the longer alignment. Every listed nearby airport has broader procedure coverage than Clare: Mount Pleasant, Gladwin and Roscommon County each have four charts, while Jack Barstow and Gratiot Community each have five. Four sectional charts cover Clare, adding regional VFR context beyond the airport’s small instrument set.
