Instrument coverage

Avon Park Executive’s instrument provision is narrow and entirely GPS-based: two RNAV approaches serve two of the airport’s four runway ends. The remaining ends have no published instrument approach, while the absence of an airport diagram leaves the procedure set focused on arrivals rather than ground layout. Runway 05/23 provides 1,530 ft more length than 10/28, making the two alignments materially different where required take-off or landing distance is concerned.

Wider chart context

Bartow Executive and Sebring Regional have appreciably broader chart sets, while Wauchula Municipal and Arcadia Municipal match Avon Park’s limited total; Lake Wales Municipal is only slightly broader. The Jacksonville and Miami sectionals provide wider VFR coverage, supplemented by the more locally focused Tampa-Orlando Terminal Area Chart.
