Lake Wales Municipal’s instrument coverage is limited to two RNAV (GPS) approaches serving two of its four runway ends. This gives published approach coverage in both directions on one runway axis, while the other axis has none. The 5,400 ft runway provides 1,540 ft more length than the crossing runway, making the difference between the two alignments substantial.
Nearby procedure coverage varies sharply. Kissimmee Gateway and Lakeland Linder International have much broader chart sets, while Avon Park Executive is thinner; Bartow Executive and Winter Haven Regional sit between them. The Jacksonville and Miami sectionals provide wider VFR context, while the Tampa–Orlando Terminal Area Chart adds more detailed coverage for the surrounding terminal area.
