DuPage’s instrument coverage reaches five of its eight runway ends, leaving three without a published approach. The mix of two ILS, two localiser and five RNAV (GPS) procedures provides ground-based course guidance alongside satellite-based options rather than GPS-only coverage. Seven departure charts balance the seven published approach plates.
The two longest runways share the 02/20 alignment, while 10/28 and 15/33 add two other orientations. Only 02L/20R exceeds 7,000 ft, so operations requiring that length are confined to one runway. Aurora Municipal and Lewis University have chart sets close in breadth to DuPage’s; Bolingbrook’s Clow International and Lake in the Hills are much thinner, while Chicago O’Hare’s is far larger. The sectional, Terminal Area Chart and Helicopter Route Chart add broader VFR, terminal-area and helicopter-routing context.
