Go PROChicago’s dense urban core and long Lake Michigan frontage anchor this sheet. Coverage extends across the city and its suburbs, west over northern Illinois towards Rockford, north to the Wisconsin state line, and east into north-western Indiana. The landscape shifts from tightly developed lakeshore districts to flatter plains, outlying communities and agricultural ground. That contrast makes the sheet particularly useful for reproducing the visual complexity of metropolitan flying alongside the strong geographical reference provided by the shoreline.
The Terminal Area Chart gives Chicago and its surroundings more concentrated treatment than the Sectional Aeronautical Chart, which places the same area within a much broader regional view. For routes that continue well beyond the metropolitan area, the sectional supplies that wider context. The Helicopter Route Chart covers the same place with a purpose tailored to helicopter operations, rather than serving as a direct substitute for the terminal-area presentation. Together, the three products offer distinct views of one of the Midwest’s largest urban and lakeside flying environments.
