DWH’s chart set is strongly departure-weighted: 24 departure procedures sit alongside just three approaches, comprising two RNAV (GPS) procedures and one localiser procedure. Only two runway ends receive an instrument approach, so arrival coverage is concentrated rather than spread across the parallel land-runway configuration. The 7,009 ft runway supplies substantially more length than the 3,500 ft parallel runway; the water runway and four helipads make the airport diagram particularly useful for distinguishing the different operating areas.
West Houston and Houston Executive have almost identical chart-set sizes, while Conroe/North Houston Regional and Sugar Land Regional are only modestly broader. George Bush Intercontinental/Houston is the clear outlier, with well over twice DWH’s chart coverage; none of the listed nearby fields has thinner coverage.
