Procedure coverage

Grand Prairie Municipal’s chart set is weighted strongly towards departures, with only two approaches: one RNAV (GPS) and one VOR. Both serve the same runway end, providing two forms of instrument guidance in one direction while leaving the opposite end without a published approach. The single 4,001 ft fixed-wing runway also means there is no alternative runway alignment; the separate 50 ft H1 supports the heliport depiction.

Surrounding chart context

Arlington Municipal and Fort Worth Spinks have chart collections almost identical in size, while Dallas Executive is somewhat broader. Dallas Love Field and especially Dallas-Fort Worth International have substantially more extensive procedure coverage. Beyond the instrument procedures, the Sectional and Terminal Area Chart provide wider VFR and terminal context, while the Helicopter Route Chart adds routing information specific to helicopter operations around the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
