San Marcos Regional’s three runways form six ends, and all six are served by a published approach. The set is strongly GPS-led, with six RNAV (GPS) approaches supplemented by ILS and localiser coverage. Instrument procedures therefore cover every runway alignment rather than concentrating on a single end. Runway lengths range from 5,214 ft to 6,330 ft, combining three alignment choices with a longest strip more than 1,100 ft beyond the shortest.
New Braunfels National has the most comparable volume of nearby chart coverage, while Austin-Bergstrom International and Randolph AFB each have broader sets. Lakeway Airpark is thinner, and Lockhart Municipal’s coverage is much smaller.
