Melbourne Orlando International’s eight approach plates serve four runway ends rather than concentrating instrument coverage on a single alignment. RNAV (GPS), VOR and localiser procedures provide a varied mix, while the sole ILS means precision coverage is limited to one end. The parallel 09/27 runways offer markedly different available lengths at 10,181 ft and 6,000 ft; the separate 05/23 alignment is substantially shorter at 3,001 ft.
