Every runway end at Minneapolis–St Paul has published approach coverage, with ILS, RNAV (GPS) and localiser procedures represented. Thirteen ILS approaches include four with CAT II/III minima, giving the set a substantial precision and low-visibility component rather than relying chiefly on RNAV. The layout combines parallel 12/30 strips with two other alignments. All four concrete runways are at least 8,000 ft long, and two reach 10,000 ft or more, spreading approach coverage across several long runways.
St Paul Downtown and Flying Cloud have the nearest comparably broad procedure sets, with 25 and 24 charts respectively. South St Paul is much thinner at six, while Crystal and Airlake each have ten.
