Procedure coverage

Ontario’s two parallel runways have instrument approaches to all four ends, so coverage is not confined to one direction. The mix of ILS, localiser and RNAV (GPS) procedures provides several forms of guidance, while two ILS procedures include CAT II/III minima. Both concrete runways exceed 10,000 ft—the shorter is 10,200 ft—so the runway layout accommodates aircraft requiring substantial take-off or landing distance.

Nearby chart coverage

Among the listed nearby fields, Riverside has the broadest procedure set, followed closely by Brackett Field and Chino; Cable’s coverage is markedly thinner. The Los Angeles Sectional adds wider VFR context, the Terminal Area Chart gives more focused coverage around Ontario, and the Helicopter Route Chart adds the published helicopter-route layer absent from the instrument procedure set.
