Go PROCentral Los Angeles forms the western edge of a sheet that runs east across the San Gabriel Valley and Inland Empire towards the San Jacinto foothills, while its southern reach takes in much of Orange County and the nearby Pacific coast. This is a compact but varied operating area: dense urban development is hemmed by the San Gabriel, San Bernardino and Santa Ana mountains, with valleys and passes dividing the terrain.
The Helicopter Route Chart is the specialist sheet among the three FAA products covering this area, focusing on helicopter routes across the metropolitan region. The Terminal Area Chart presents the wider terminal environment at a detailed scale, while the Sectional Aeronautical Chart places the same locality within broader Southern California route planning and regional context. Together, they extend the view from helicopter-specific urban coverage to the surrounding terminal and cross-country picture, with no adjoining helicopter chart required.

Take the GeoTIFF if you are loading the chart into moving-map software or a flight planner — it is georeferenced, so the software can place it correctly on a map, and it ships with a world file and FGDC metadata at 300 dpi (35.1 MB). Take the PDF to print it or read it on a second screen (71.2 MB); it is the same chart without georeferencing.
This is the FAA edition effective 9 July 2026, which is superseded on 3 September 2026. Visual charts are reissued every 56 days and we publish each new edition on the day it takes effect. It is for flight simulation and reference only — not for real-world navigation.
