Brown Field Municipal’s two published approaches both serve a single runway end, despite the parallel runway layout. RNAV (GPS) and VOR procedures provide two navigation methods for that end, but there is no published approach to the opposite direction or the second runway. The pronounced difference between the 7,972 ft and 3,185 ft runways also means the longer strip supports aircraft requiring substantially more runway.
San Diego International and North Island NAS have much broader procedure sets, while Imperial Beach NOLF has markedly thinner coverage. Gillespie Field is somewhat broader, and Montgomery-Gibbs Executive closely matches Brown Field’s overall chart volume. The Los Angeles and Phoenix sectionals provide wider regional VFR context, while the San Diego Terminal Area Chart adds a more focused view around the airport.
