South Valley Regional has a notably compact procedure set. Its sole instrument approach is RNAV (GPS) and serves only one end of runway 16/34, leaving the opposite end without a published approach. The single 5,862 ft runway also provides no alternative alignment, while the absence of a published airport diagram keeps the chart set focused on arrival, departure and minima information.
Nearby chart coverage varies sharply. Salt Lake City International has by far the broadest procedure set, while Bolinder Field/Tooele Valley and Heber Valley are much closer to South Valley Regional in chart volume. Provo Municipal and Hill AFB sit between those extremes. The Salt Lake City sectional and Terminal Area Chart add regional and terminal-area VFR context not supplied by the airport’s limited instrument procedures.
