Dornier Do-28A V3 brings the rugged twin-engine four-seater to X-Plane 10 with strong short-field handling, stable low-speed control, and a brisk cruise. Styled after the French Customs aircraft based at Hyères LFTH, it includes working brakes, an operating transponder, and a castoring tailwheel for authentic ground handling.

Description Comments

The Dornier Do-28A is a two-engined four seater aircraft developed from the single engine Do-27. It has excellent low speed characteristics and high cruise speed.
The one presented here had been operated by the "Douanes Francaises" (French Customs) from 1969 to 1980. Based at Hyères LFTH ( in the south east of France) it was the first aircraft to detect a degazing cargo boat in the Mediterranean Sea.
