This scenery is of the Hay River (CYHY) NT, Canada airport located on the southern side of Great Slave Lake. This small busy airport is an important part of the moving of freight and passengers to the North. During the spring and fall when the ice roads are not passable and the waterways cannot be used these northern airports are vital to get the essential into northern communities. Buffalo Airways is a great user of this airport for moving freight and passengers as well as operating a fleet of fire fighting tankers. By Al Gay - Flight Ontario.

This scenery comes in the form of an installer that will install the Hay River - Merlyn Carter Airport NT CYHY.

This scenery includes the proper aligning of the present day airport and NAV Aids as well as GMax constructed buildings with photo textures to make them as realistic as possible. You will also see some static aircraft that represent those used by Buffalo Airways. Although not photo real or authentic, the town of Hay River has also been put together to represent the basic layout of the town, residential as well as industrial areas.

Installation Instructions

Unzip the ZIP file to a temporary folder (which you likely have already done since you are reading this Readme).
Run the installer exe file. This will install the scenery to your FSX/Addon Scenery folder. Should you wish to place the scenery in a different location you will be given that chance as the installer proceeds.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.
