Spirit Airlines, Inc. is an American ultra low-cost carrier. Spirit operates scheduled flights throughout the U.S. as well as the Caribbean, Mexico, and Latin America. This file contains textures only and is to be used with the new improvements made by Francois Dore for the existing Project Airbus aircraft. By Marco Fischbach.

  • Improved wingflex code with input from several new parameters including ground spoilers, fuel load, and angle of attack.

Installation:

  • Simply extract the ZIP file content (texture.spirit) in your Flight Simulator X/SimObjects/Airplanes/PA319_IAE directory.
  • Copy the following entry into aircraft.cfg file.
  • Replace the 'x' in [fltsim.x] with the next following number in your aircraft.cfg.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D aircraft
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Copy aircraft files into SimObjects

    Place the aircraft folder inside FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\. The folder must contain an aircraft.cfg file. Effects go into FSX\Effects\; gauges go into FSX\Gauges\.
  3. Verify in FSX

    Launch FSX, go to Free Flight → Select Aircraft and find your new aircraft under its manufacturer.
  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
