Airframe Characteristics and Airline Background

The Boeing 757-200, introduced by Boeing as a mid-size jetliner, features twin high-bypass turbofan engines, a narrow-body fuselage, and impressive range for transcontinental routes. Cloud9 Virtual Airlines, represented here by Taran Salyers’ custom textures, brings a fictional carrier’s vibrant branding onto this versatile airframe. The livery pays homage to modern airline aesthetics with crisp design elements that showcase the aircraft’s form and unique winglet structure.

Avionics and Cockpit Experience

  • Multiple Engine Variants: Select from different powerplant options, each with accurate performance curves and thrust profiles.
  • Adaptable Gauges: Instrumentation adjusts according to engine configuration, delivering an authentic cockpit readout.
  • Alternate Gear Points: Fine-tuned placement of landing gear for a balance of visual correctness and operational behavior.

Flight Behavior and Performance Optimizations

  • Enhanced FDE (Flight Dynamics Engine): Developed to mirror real flight characteristics, with data sourced from both official charts and verified pilot feedback.
  • C32A-Specific Configurations: Incorporates performance data modeled for the C32A variant, highlighting the 757-200’s versatile nature.
  • Accurate Dimensions: The airframe shape, wingspan, and fuselage length match documented Boeing specifications.
  • Verified Operational Profile: Thrust mapping, fuel burn rates, and critical flight parameters emulate real-world performance for various engine types.
  • Structurally Sensitive Damage Model: Damage profiles affect the wings, landing gears, flaps, and engines realistically in adverse conditions.

In-Flight Documentation

  • Advanced Operations Handbook: A complete manual contains detailed speed tables and recommended operating procedures, guiding pilots through all stages of flight.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D aircraft
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Copy aircraft files into SimObjects

Place the aircraft folder inside FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\. The folder must contain an aircraft.cfg file. Effects go into FSX\Effects\; gauges go into FSX\Gauges\.
  3. Verify in FSX

Launch FSX, go to Free Flight → Select Aircraft and find your new aircraft under its manufacturer.
  4. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
