FSX ANA Pokemon

ANA’s Pokémon “Peace Jet” Boeing 777-300 repaint brings registration JA754A to life with carefully hand-painted textures traced from photos, capturing the special 5th-generation Pokémon Black and White promotional scheme for domestic flying. Built for FSX on the Project Open Sky 777-300 PW model, it includes a virtual cockpit and requires msvcr70.dll for gauge support.

ANA Pokemon "Peace Jet" Boeing 777-300. A repaint of the Project Open Sky B777-300 PW model into the colors of All Nippon Airways latest Pokemon Jet named "Peace Jet", registered JA754A, in promotion of Pokemon's 5th generation game, Pokemon Black and White. Originally, Japanese children were supposed to vote on which design (out of three) would be used. However, because of the March 2011 earthquake that occured in Japan, the voting was canceled and rather ended up choosing this design. This repaint is hand-painted in Photoshop, matched against photos of this jet (via tracing). This may not be 100% to detail however much effort has been done to include every detail possible. Model with VC included. Sound aliased to the 737 however there are suggestions in the readme file. ANA uses this for domestic flights. By Diego Roxas. (See also FSX_POSKY773_JA754A_PATCH.ZIP).

You may see some misalignments on the confetti art overhead. This is because of the paint kit. Like what I said these are some things that I (as a repainter) cannot avoid. I tried my best to align them and that is the best possible for now. When you look at the textures, the overhead is "cutoff", and the model would distort the "edge parts" of the portion in the bitmap being used. Plus, as I see it in some tail photos, there are some writings at the rear end of the left fuselage. I think this is the design copyright text. I didn't include this (not that I do not honor it) since the text cannot be distinguished as the text aren't that contrasting enough in the photo. If I get a clearer one and is more distinguishable, it will hopefully be added.

Installation:

  • Simply copy the folder "POSKY 777-381 ANA Peace Jet" and paste it in your Airplanes folder. You should see it in the menu. If not, read below (support).
  • Copy and paste "msvcr70.dll" into the main FSX folder. This will allow the "777-300.gau" file (as required) to work properly.
  • Enjoy!

FSX / P3D add-on

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place files per the readme

    Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.

  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

    I am not getting cockpit gauges. It shows blank (all gauges are black screen). So I am not able to fly on autopilot. Kindly suggest.
