FSX Saudi Arabian Airbus A300-600R

Saudia’s classic gold-and-blue livery is recreated on the Airbus A300-600R with crisp titles, tail emblem, and carefully aligned markings for a convincing wide-body presence in Microsoft Flight Simulator X. The textures also complement the matching virtual cockpit and GE engine look, and requires Thomas Ruth’s freeware A300-600R base model.

Flight Simulator X Prepar3D

This highly detailed repaint showcases the distinctive Saudia (Saudi Arabian Airlines) color scheme on an Airbus A300-600R airframe for Microsoft Flight Simulator X. It is a freeware creation based on Thomas Ruth’s original A300-600R series and repainted by Christophe Bonneville. Incorporating the airline’s signature palette and markings, this release offers a faithful adaptation for enthusiasts seeking an authentic mid-range, twin-engine Airbus experience.

Key Livery Characteristics

This repaint reflects the operational branding used by the Jeddah-based carrier. The fuselage art includes golden tail insignia and precise lettering along the cabin windows. Such attention to detail brings a realistic visual presence reminiscent of Saudia’s real-world fleet.

Technical Highlights

  • Cockpit Integration: Compatible with the Thomas Ruth Airbus A300-600R cockpit configuration, ensuring that the overall panel layout and indicators remain consistent with the base model.
  • Fuselage Optimization: The design adopts nuanced markings along the nose cone and rear exit areas, capturing the imagery seen on actual Saudia Airbus jets.
  • Engine Representation: Modeled to match the General Electric engine variant used on many A300-600R aircraft, preserving realistic textures across the nacelles and pylons.

Requires dependencies

This add-on may require the following files to function properly. If this is a repaint, the dependency below is likely the base aircraft package.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D aircraft
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Copy aircraft files into SimObjects

Place the aircraft folder inside FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\. The folder must contain an aircraft.cfg file. Effects go into FSX\Effects\; gauges go into FSX\Gauges\.
  3. Verify in FSX

Launch FSX, go to Free Flight → Select Aircraft and find your new aircraft under its manufacturer.
  4. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
