FSX Juneau Alaska Scenery Fix

Juneau, Alaska ILS approach tuning for runway 08 improves glide slope clearance over surrounding terrain and enables corrected autoland behavior. Designed for FSX and requires JUNEAU_JD.ZIP, it updates the airport’s approach geometry for smoother, more realistic arrivals into Juneau International while keeping the original scenery’s look and layout intact.

A runway with illuminated approach lights extends over water toward an airport complex, surrounded by residential houses, trees, and distant mountains.

Juneau Alaska Scenery Fix (AK), for use with JUNEAU_JD.ZIP. This file fixes the ILS approach in order to clear the mountains on the glide slope for runway 08. The first one was a little close. Runway 08 now has corrected auto land enabled. Created by J.D. Starseed.

1. Un- zip file to your desk top.

2. Copy all indiviual BGL. files to your FSX Addon Scenery/ Scenery folder. [ NOT textures folder ] For example= C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Addon Scenery\scenery.

3.Over write any files if you have previous versions. Restart Flight Sim thats it !!

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.

Use these coordinates to fly directly to this location once the mod is installed.
