Download printable MSFS 2024 keyboard commands in PDF, Word or JPG, and learn how to verify them against your active control preset.
You can download our printable MSFS keyboard-command pack as a PDF, Word document or JPG. It includes a compact single-page cheat sheet and split-page layouts for easier printing. Check each command against your active Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 keyboard preset, because customised bindings may differ.
Which printable keyboard-command format should I use?
Choose the format according to whether you want a fixed reference sheet or something you can edit with your own bindings.
| Format | Best use | Watch for |
|---|---|---|
| Clean, ready-to-print reference | Less convenient to edit | |
| Word | Adding notes and customised commands | Page breaks can shift between applications |
| JPG | Quick printing or viewing on another screen | Small text can lose clarity when enlarged |
| Single-page layout | Keeping beside the keyboard | Smaller type |
| Split-page layout | Larger text or a reference binder | Uses more paper |
How do I print the correct MSFS 2024 controls?
The in-sim Controls screen is the authority for your installed build and selected profile; the printable sheet is a quick-reference aid.
- Download the source file. Pick the PDF for straightforward printing, Word for editing, or JPG for a simple image-based copy.
- Select your keyboard profile. Open Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024’s Controls settings, choose the keyboard device and confirm which preset or custom profile is active.
- Verify important assignments. Search for the actions you use most, especially brakes, landing gear, flaps, trim, camera controls and autopilot functions. Our explanation of how to check the complete active keyboard preset covers what the simulator is actually using.
- Check the print preview. Use the document’s intended page layout and choose the printer’s fit-to-page option if text is being clipped.
- Mark any differences. Write customised assignments on the printout or edit the Word version before printing.
Why do some printed commands not work?
A printed command usually fails because the active keyboard profile no longer matches the default map. Imported presets, manually changed bindings and profile selection can all produce differences.
- Wrong profile selected: confirm that the keyboard profile shown in Controls is the one you normally fly with.
- Keyboard layout differences: punctuation, symbol and numeric-keypad assignments can vary between regional keyboards.
- Modifier keys omitted: a command using
Ctrl,ShiftorAltwill not work from the letter key alone. - Input focus captured: a search field, text box or another interface panel may intercept keystrokes.
- Aircraft-specific operation: some detailed aircraft systems use cockpit interaction or their own control logic rather than a universal simulator command.
- Conflicting assignment: one key may be bound to multiple actions, sometimes in different control contexts.
If every keyboard command is ignored rather than just one or two, follow our MSFS 2024 keyboard input troubleshooting steps instead of changing the printout.
Can I make a printable sheet for custom bindings?
The easiest method is to edit the Word version or annotate a printed copy with the assignments shown in your active profile. Keep the original file unchanged so you still have a default reference.
After rebinding controls, save them under a clearly named profile and update the sheet immediately. Our guide to changing and saving keyboard bindings explains how to check for conflicts and preserve the customised profile.
