Set up a Logitech/Saitek Radio Panel in MSFS 2024 with the correct plug-in, then fix blank displays, USB dropouts and failed COM/NAV inputs.
On a Windows PC, connect the Logitech/Saitek Radio Panel, install the current Flight Panels software and Microsoft Flight Simulator plug-in, then start Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and load a powered aircraft. The panel communicates through the plug-in and SimConnect, not normal Control Options bindings, so its displays may remain blank until a flight is running.
Set up the Logitech Radio Panel in MSFS 2024
The reliable setup sequence is to install one software bridge, connect the panel, load a simple aircraft and test COM1 before trying more complex avionics.
- Close MSFS 2024 and choose one bridge. Exit the simulator and any panel-management utility. For a first setup, use Logitech’s Microsoft Flight Simulator plug-in; if another utility already controls the panel, do not run both.
- Install the Windows panel software. Install the current Flight Panels package for the Logitech G or Saitek Radio Panel, plus the Microsoft Flight Simulator plug-in if it is supplied separately. An old FSX-only driver or hardware test package does not provide the required MSFS 2024 connection.
- Connect the panel directly. Start with a USB port on the PC rather than an unpowered hub. If you have several Logitech panels, a good powered hub can prevent flickering and repeated disconnections.
- Start the panel bridge. Some installations launch it with Windows; others require the supplied panel application to be started. If the Radio Panel remains blank, confirm that this software is running before reinstalling anything.
- Load a straightforward aircraft. Use a default aircraft with conventional COM and NAV radios. Switch on the battery, electrical system, avionics master and the relevant radio.
- Test COM1 first. Select COM1 on one row, rotate the outer and inner knobs to change the standby frequency, then press ACT/STBY. The cockpit radio and hardware display should change together.
- Check the remaining modes. Repeat the test with COM2 and NAV1. ADF, DME and XPDR will only behave as expected when the aircraft models those systems and exposes them through standard simulator events.
Do I need to bind the Radio Panel in Control Options?
No. With the Logitech plug-in, the Radio Panel is normally driven outside MSFS 2024’s Control Options screen through SimConnect. It may not appear as a conventional assignable controller, and that alone does not indicate a fault.
A mistake we see constantly is running the Logitech plug-in alongside another panel utility or leaving duplicate radio assignments on a joystick. The result can be frequencies that jump, change twice or immediately return to their previous value. Keep one panel bridge active and remove conflicting COM/NAV assignments from other controllers.
What do the Radio Panel controls do?
Each selector chooses a radio system, while the concentric knobs adjust the selected frequency or value.

The panel cannot add equipment that the aircraft does not have. An aircraft with one COM radio or no ADF will leave the corresponding selector positions unused. Why is my Logitech Radio Panel blank or not responding?
Start troubleshooting with a powered default aircraft because this separates a USB or plug-in fault from an add-on aircraft compatibility problem.

Does the Radio Panel work with every MSFS 2024 aircraft?
No; standard COM and NAV radios usually work, but complex add-on aircraft may use custom variables and events that the basic Logitech bridge cannot control.
Test the panel in a default aircraft before changing drivers. If it works there, repeatedly reinstalling the hardware software will not fix an aircraft-specific integration problem. DME information also depends on the aircraft’s navigation equipment, while selecting XPDR may change the squawk code without controlling the transponder’s operating mode.
Which software bridge should I use?
Use the Logitech plug-in when you want the simplest setup for default aircraft and standard radios. Choose a single alternative panel-management utility only when a particular add-on requires custom events or an aircraft profile; running it alongside the Logitech bridge creates conflicts rather than extra compatibility.
Can I use the Radio Panel on Xbox or PlayStation?
No normal supported setup exists for this panel on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 or PS5 Pro because it depends on Windows software and a SimConnect bridge. These instructions therefore apply to the PC edition of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
