Compare UH-60 Black Hawk add-ons for MSFS 2020 and 2024, including PC choices, console limits and why the FS2004 package does not work.
For Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024, the principal UH-60 options are native third-party UH-60L or UH-60M aircraft, including the freeware Delta Simulations UH-60M for PC, plus commercial releases listed for a specific MSFS version. Our UH-60 download is an FS2004 package and will not run natively in modern MSFS.
Which UH-60 Black Hawk add-ons can I use in MSFS?
The usable choices depend on your simulator version, platform and tolerance for a work-in-progress aircraft.

UH-60L and UH-60M are different variants, particularly around avionics and systems. A new livery cannot turn one variant into the other, and an MH-60 or HH-60 repaint does not add the corresponding mission equipment.
Can the FS2004 UH-60 package work in MSFS 2020 or 2024?
No. Our downloadable FS2004 Black Hawk package was built for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 and uses an incompatible aircraft format, gauges and flight model.
Copying it into the MSFS Community folder will not convert it. Renaming folders, editing the manifest or adding a modern livery will not supply the missing MSFS model, systems and package structure. The same underlying restrictions explained in our guide to legacy FSX aircraft compatibility with modern MSFS apply even more strongly to FS2004 aircraft.
Will an MSFS 2020 Black Hawk work in MSFS 2024 or on consoles?
An MSFS 2020 UH-60 may work in MSFS 2024, but compatibility must be checked for that aircraft and build rather than assumed.
Loading successfully is not the whole test. Check rotor controls, engine starting, cockpit displays, sounds and animations; these are common places where an older package can fail after moving to MSFS 2024. Keep only one copy of the aircraft installed, because an obsolete duplicate can conflict with an updated build.
Manually downloaded freeware is a PC-only route. Xbox Series X|S and the PlayStation 5 editions of MSFS 2024 cannot accept packages copied into a Community folder; console users need an aircraft offered through their in-simulator Marketplace for that platform. A product appearing on the PC Marketplace does not guarantee an Xbox or PlayStation release. MSFS 2020 was never released on PlayStation.
How should I choose and install a Black Hawk add-on?
Choose the Delta Simulations UH-60M when you want a free PC option and accept community-project limitations; choose a commercial UH-60L only after comparing its documented systems, cockpit and platform support with what you expect.
- Check the simulator label. It must name MSFS 2020, MSFS 2024 or both—not merely “Microsoft Flight Simulator”, FS2004, FSX or Prepar3D.
- Confirm that it is a complete aircraft. Liveries, sound packs and enhancement mods require the exact base UH-60 named by their instructions.
- Read the dependency list. Some community builds require additional components or prescribed settings; missing dependencies often cause dead displays or incomplete systems.
- Remove an older copy before updating. Do not merge two releases into the same folder.
- Install the package root. For a conventional PC package, the folder containing

If the UH-60 does not appear, the usual causes are a package placed one folder too deep, the wrong Community folder, a missing base aircraft or an add-on built for another simulator.
