Dexter Regional’s two RNAV (GPS) procedures divide the instrument coverage evenly between two runway ends, rather than concentrating every approach on one direction. The runway layout is markedly unequal: the 3,008 ft asphalt runway provides more than twice the available length of the 1,249 ft turf runway, so the two alignments are not equivalent in dimensional terms.
Among nearby fields, Bangor International has a substantially broader procedure set, while Dewitt Field/Old Town Municipal is only modestly broader. Pittsfield Municipal, Greenville Municipal and Central Maine/Norridgewock have chart sets comparable in size to Dexter Regional’s. The Halifax and Montreal sectional charts supplement these instrument procedures with wider VFR context around Dexter.
