Approach coverage and runway choice

Dewitt Field’s four approaches serve three runway ends, so instrument coverage spans more than one alignment without extending to every end. The set is weighted towards RNAV (GPS), with one VOR procedure adding a conventional navigation option. Of the paved runways, 12/30 provides the greater length at 4,001 ft; 04/22 offers another alignment but only 2,802 ft. The 8,400 ft water runway is seaplane-specific rather than additional paved capacity.

Regional chart context

Bangor International has the broadest nearby procedure set, with four times the chart coverage of each of Dexter Regional, Lincoln Regional, Pittsfield Municipal and Deblois Flight Strip. The Halifax and Montreal sectionals add the wider visual-navigation context around Old Town that the terminal procedures do not show.
