Instrument coverage

Chester Catawba Regional has two RNAV (GPS) approaches, each serving a different runway end. With four runway ends in total, the other two have no published instrument approach. The procedure set therefore provides limited but distributed arrival coverage rather than concentrating both approaches on one end. No separate FAA airport diagram is published.

Runways and surrounding chart coverage

Both runways are essentially 5,000 ft long, so there is no materially longer option within the field for aircraft needing more runway. Nearby, Rock Hill, Lancaster County and Gastonia have substantially broader procedure sets; JAARS-Townsend is similar in scale, while Union County’s coverage is thinner. The Atlanta and Charlotte sectionals add regional VFR context, with the Charlotte Terminal Area Chart providing more focused visual coverage around the airport.
