Erie Municipal’s instrument coverage is tightly focused: one RNAV (GPS) approach and one VOR approach, supported by minimums material. The two approach types provide distinct forms of guidance, but not the layered selection found at several nearby fields. No airport diagram is published. With a single 4,700 ft runway, every operation uses the same alignment, with no second runway orientation available.
Denver International has by far the broadest nearby procedure set. Rocky Mountain Metro and Northern Colorado Regional also have substantial coverage, while Vance Brand’s smaller collection remains much broader than Erie Municipal’s. The Cheyenne and Denver sectionals add regional VFR context, and the Denver Terminal Area Chart provides a more focused terminal-area depiction beyond the instrument procedures.

4 current FAA charts for Erie Muni, including 2 instrument approachs. All are free to download as PDFs from this page, from the 6 August 2026 cycle.
CTAF 123.0. Full civil VHF list, with sector notes, is in the frequencies table on this page — from the FAA NASR subscription.
Erie Muni has 1 runway. The longest is 16/34 at 4,700 ft by 60 ft, concrete. Full runway dimensions, lighting and approach aids are listed on this page.
No ILS is published. In total KEIK has 2 published instrument approaches, of which 1 are RNAV (GPS).
The field elevation is 5,119 ft. At that height the air is thin enough to matter: take-off and landing distances are longer than the same aircraft would need at sea level, and the effect worsens as temperature rises. The approach charts carry the altitudes that apply.
No — Erie Muni has no control tower. Traffic co-ordinates on a common frequency rather than with a controller, which is listed in the frequencies table on this page.
