Faribault’s three approaches serve two runway ends, with one end therefore receiving more than one procedure. The mix of two RNAV (GPS) approaches and one VOR approach provides coverage through two navigation methods. The 4,257 ft paved runway is substantially longer than the 2,300 ft turf runway; any operation requiring more than 2,300 ft of runway is limited to 12/30 on length alone.
Owatonna Degner Regional has chart coverage equal in size to Faribault’s, while Airlake and Mankato Regional have broader sets. Waseca Municipal and Dodge Center are more lightly covered. Four sectional charts provide wider VFR context around Faribault, while the Minneapolis-St Paul Terminal Area Chart adds more focused coverage within that charted area.
