Three approaches, one runway end

Fullerton’s three published approaches all serve one end of runway 06/24, leaving the opposite end without a published instrument approach. The available methods are notably varied: RNAV (GPS), VOR and localiser procedures provide satellite-based and ground-based options to the same end. With a single 3,121-ft runway, there is no second fixed-wing alignment; three separate 45-ft helipads complete the landing-area layout.

Chart coverage around Fullerton

Nearby chart coverage varies considerably. John Wayne/Orange County and Long Beach have substantially broader procedure sets, while Los Alamitos AAF, San Gabriel Valley and Brackett Field are much closer to Fullerton’s total, though all are slightly thinner. The Los Angeles Sectional and Terminal Area Chart add wider VFR context beyond the airport procedures, while the Los Angeles Helicopter Route Chart provides the dedicated helicopter-route view.

Every published approach serves one runway end. There is no instrument procedure to the reciprocal direction, so an arrival in instrument conditions commits to that single approach direction regardless of the wind.

Is KFUL a towered airport?
