Long Beach combines a 10,000 ft runway with two shorter intersecting runways, but published approaches serve only three of the six conventional runway ends. The mix includes ILS and localiser procedures alongside RNAV (GPS) and VOR coverage, so instrument access is concentrated rather than evenly distributed across every alignment. Seven departure charts and twelve arrival charts give the field a substantial en-route procedure set as well. The 10,000 ft runway offers markedly more usable length than the 6,192 ft and 3,918 ft alternatives.
Los Angeles International has a much broader procedure library, while Los Alamitos, Fullerton, Zamperini and Hawthorne have notably thinner coverage; Hawthorne has the largest set among those four. The Los Angeles Sectional supplies regional VFR context, the Terminal Area Chart adds more detailed terminal-area depiction, and the Helicopter Route Chart shows the dedicated helicopter-route framework.
