Los Alamitos AAF has two parallel runways but published approaches serve only one of their four ends. The RNAV (GPS) and VOR procedures provide two different forms of guidance to that same end, leaving the other three without an approach in this chart set. Five arrival-route charts against one departure chart also make the coverage notably arrival-weighted.
The 7,999 ft runway provides 2,098 ft more length than its parallel companion, so the available distance differs materially between the two strips. Nearby John Wayne/Orange County and Long Beach have much broader chart collections; Fullerton Municipal and Zamperini Field are closer to Los Alamitos in overall coverage. The Los Angeles Sectional adds broader VFR context, while the Terminal Area and Helicopter Route charts provide more specialised local depictions.
