Seattle-Tacoma’s three parallel runways are matched by a substantial mix of ILS, RNAV (GPS) and localiser procedures, rather than dependence on a single approach type. Three ILS procedures include CAT II/III minima. The 3,401 ft difference between the shortest and longest runway also makes runway assignment significant to the landing distance available, while the departure and arrival chart sets provide comparable depth in each direction of flight.
Boeing Field has the broadest procedure collection among the nearby airports, followed by Renton Municipal. Auburn Municipal, Tacoma Narrows and Bremerton National have markedly thinner chart coverage. The Seattle Sectional adds broader-area VFR context beyond the airport-specific terminal procedures.
