Aurora State’s three approaches serve both ends of its sole 5,003 ft runway, so instrument coverage is not confined to one landing direction. Two RNAV (GPS) procedures provide satellite-based approaches, while the localiser procedure adds a different form of course guidance. All instrument arrivals nevertheless use the same runway alignment.
Among nearby fields, McNary Field has chart coverage closest in scale to Aurora State’s. Portland-Hillsboro has a broader set, while Portland International’s is much more extensive. McMinnville Municipal is thinner, and Pearson Field has the sparsest coverage of the group. The Seattle Sectional adds broader regional VFR context, while the Seattle Terminal Area Chart provides a more focused view around the terminal area.
