FSX Beechcraft 18DS Auto Smoke Gauge

Beechcraft 18DS Auto Smoke Gauge adds authentic twin-engine exhaust smoke that appears automatically once throttle passes roughly 60 percent, echoing real-world Beech 18 behavior. Built as an XML gauge for FSX, it drives smoke from both engines and supports simple configuration edits in the aircraft.cfg for fine-tuned intensity and timing.

This Beech 18 gauge will make a little smoke effect out of both engines just like in the real world. The auto smoke is generated by an xml gauge and will switch the smoke on above a throttle level off approximately 60 percent. By Richard Wisman.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D panel / gauge

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place panel files

    Panel files go inside FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\{aircraft}\panel\. Back up the existing panel folder first.

  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
