Hi-Fi Simulation software have announced Active Sky X, a new weather add-on for FSX.  FSX Environment has also been announced, this provides some great environment enhancements.  For more information, click on Read More.

The first is Active Sky X, a completely new weather engine product that has been in development for over 2 years now. Active Sky X is a complete re-write and utilizes the latest development technologies and the FSX SimConnect API to bring an entirely new weather experience to your simulated flights! Some of the exciting features include an appealing user interface, graphical weather mapping and planning, virtual on-the-fly wx station generation, hurricane simulation, online historical playback, high-fidelity wake turbulence simulation and an included FSX wx imagery display gauge (XGauge).

The second product is FSX Environment, another brand new design that provides an entirely new assortment of environmental enhancements to FSX. The categories include 3d clouds, cirrus clouds, SkyScape mode, water, sky textures, sun, moon, lightning, lense flare, runway and airport textures, aircraft and airport lighting, highways and roads and even wx sound effects! With an easy-to-use graphically-enhanced user interface, easy theme management and full ASX integration for wx-influenced selections, FSXE will enhance every aspect of your sim.

While both add-ons are made to work together with tight integration, they also operate completely stand-alone. Each product is offered separately or via a bundle for extra savings.

ActiveSky X and FSX Environment are currently in the final beta testing stage and are expected to be ready for release within the next 2-4 weeks.
