How do I stop TCA Boeing yoke jitter?

  1. Test without autopilot or assistance. Load a simple default aircraft, switch off the autopilot and temporarily disable piloting assists. This separates controller input from an autopilot commanding the animated cockpit controls.

Which sensitivity setting removes yoke jitter?

Use the centre dead zone to suppress slight resting-axis noise, but increase it only until the input trace remains still.

  • Dead zone: the correct setting for a small twitch around the physical centre.
  • Sensitivity: changes the response curve and does not repair a noisy signal.
  • Reactivity: can soften rapid movement, but excessive reduction introduces lag and masks the fault rather than fixing it.
  • Neutral: shifts the effective centre; use it only when the mechanical centre and indicated centre do not agree.
  • Extremity dead zone: affects the end of the axis and will not cure centre jitter.

Why does the physical TCA Boeing yoke shake?

The TCA Boeing yoke is not a force-feedback controller, so MSFS 2024 cannot command the physical yoke to shake.

If the hardware itself moves or rattles, unplug it and check the desk clamp, base fasteners and supporting surface. Spring return can also make the handle oscillate briefly if released abruptly. Software dead zones affect the signal sent to the simulator; they cannot tighten a loose mount or change the yoke's mechanical return action.

Do not open or lubricate the mechanism while diagnosing an in-warranty unit. Raw-axis spikes that persist with updated firmware, a direct USB connection and a second PC strongly indicate a hardware problem rather than an MSFS setting.

What if the aircraft shakes only with autopilot engaged?

Stable yoke axes combined with autopilot pitch oscillation usually point to trim, aircraft configuration or autopilot behaviour rather than yoke jitter.

Check every controller for an unintended Elevator Trim Axis assignment, especially a throttle quadrant or gamepad. Temporarily remove analogue trim bindings and test using only the intended trim switches. If the virtual yoke then moves only when the autopilot commands it, that movement may be normal for the selected aircraft; the important test is whether the control input graph remains steady.
