Approach coverage

Eagle River Union’s four approaches are concentrated on two of its four conventional runway ends, so instrument procedure coverage does not extend to every available direction. Two RNAV (GPS) procedures are complemented by VOR and localiser options, providing both satellite-based and ground-based guidance. The 5,000 ft runway offers 1,600 ft more length than the 3,400 ft alignment, making runway length a materially different constraint between them.

Nearby chart coverage

Rhinelander/Oneida County has the broadest nearby procedure set, while Lakeland/Noble F Lee Memorial Field is closest to Eagle River Union in overall chart coverage. Kings Land O’ Lakes is thinner, and Manitowish Waters and Crandon/Steve Conway Municipal have the smallest sets listed nearby. The Green Bay Sectional adds wider visual-navigation context beyond the terminal procedures and minima sheets.
