Concentrated instrument coverage

Shawano Municipal’s instrument provision consists of two RNAV (GPS) approaches serving two runway ends. With two paved runways and an all-way water runway, the chart set therefore covers only part of the available landing geometry rather than every direction. Runway 12/30 is 1,676 ft longer than 17/35, making the shorter paved runway the more restrictive option where required runway length is concerned.

Regional chart context

Nearby chart coverage varies considerably. Green Bay/Austin Straubel International and Appleton International have the broadest published sets, while Oconto/J Douglas Bake Municipal matches Shawano’s four-chart total. Clintonville Municipal and Langlade County sit between those levels. The Green Bay Sectional adds wider-area VFR context not supplied by Shawano’s approach and minimums sheets.
