Selfridge ANGB’s single 10,010 ft runway has approach coverage at both ends, so the procedure set is not concentrated on one landing direction. Its ten approaches are weighted towards ILS and localiser procedures, with two RNAV (GPS) options; twelve departure procedures make the published set at least as strong on outbound routing as on arrivals. The runway length provides substantial distance for aircraft with greater take-off and landing requirements, but the single alignment offers no second runway orientation.
Among nearby fields, Coleman A Young Municipal has almost the same breadth of procedure coverage, while Oakland/Troy also has a substantial set. Ray Community, Romeo State and St Clair County International are much more lightly charted. The Detroit Sectional supplies wider VFR context, the Terminal Area Chart adds detailed terminal-area depiction, and the Helicopter Route Chart contributes routing information specific to helicopter operations.
