Ruacana Airport (FYRC) scenery brings Namibia’s northern border airfield to life for sightseeing flights to Ruacana Falls, with a layout built from default Microsoft Flight Simulator X libraries. Set near Angola with roots in regional military history, it offers a convincing base for bush operations, touring, and local VFR navigation.

Ruacana Airport Scenery.

This is Ruacana Airport in Namibia.This airport is near the border with Angola and was used by the South African Defence force for operations into Angola before Namibia became independant.Now it is a popular tourist destination and ideal for traveling to Ruacana Falls.It is made from default FSX scenery librarys.Not the real thing but pretty close.

Instructions :

1.Unzip Ruacana.zip to a temp folder.

2.Copy the "FYRC_Ruacana" folder to your FSX/scenery folder.

3.Run FSX.

4.On the main page go to "settings".

5.Now click on "scenery library".

6.Now click on "Add area" and search for the scenery folder.

7.Double click on the scenery folder and look for the"FYRC_Ruacana" folder.

7.NB !!!!!! click on this folder only once ! and then click on "OK".

8.The scenery will now load !

9.Go to free flight and choose "FYRC" to start your flight !

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

Use these coordinates to fly directly to this location once the mod is installed.
