FS2004 AFCAD Files

AFCAD files are the skeleton of the airport or scenery, for example parking gates and taxiways and holding point information are stored in AFCAD files. These files do not show anything visually, but it's more along the lines of providing information to the simulator software so it may assign runways, parking gates and taxiways for you when you request them via ATC.

AFCAD Pack (Airport Scenery) by Leo Pardon

Leo Pardon presents 96 countries covered and more than 95 individual files that add parking and gates at lesser-known airports worldwide, based on real-world data. The assets are .bgl files compatible with AFCAD 2.04 or later and are not intended to precisely reflect taxiing and parking layouts, but they increase available spaces for AI traffic.

AFCAD2 LFPG Paris CDG

RealCDG v3.1 by Xavier Ossedat presents LFPG with 271 gates and four landing runways, complemented by aprons, blue centerline lights, stop lines, hold short lights, a helicopter area, de-icing bays, and new taxiways. The LFPG_2004.BGL file is included for integration.

AFCAD2 Files For Some Greek Airports V1

By V.F. Holderness, the compilation covers twenty Greek airports, including LGAV and LGIR, plus sixteen smaller fields. The files are tidied up and parking maximized without creating new areas, and runways remain unchanged apart from LGAV, with control towers placed near parking areas.

EDDF

Frankfurt/Main Airport, Germany, is provided for use with AMEDDF11.ZIP and requires Version 1.1 of AM_EDDF; runways 07L/25R and 07R/25L are open for arrivals and departures. An updated 2D file with embedded traffic coordination features enables AI traffic offline; AM_EDDF_2D.bgl is renamed to AM_EDDV_2D.bgx or removed, and AM_EDDF_2D_AI.bgl is copied to the same folder.

Tokyo Narita Airport

Narita Airport near Tokyo, RJAA, Japan, presents a layout that is not fully compatible with the default simulator. A file named AF2_RJAA.bgl provides the modification, with taxiways based on Jeppesen charts from 2001 and gates partially omitted to maintain frame rates, while enough remain to handle traffic.

This second version, by Xavier Ossedat, adds VUN/VU and Air Ivoire, transferred from CDG, changes gate order, and reduces shoulder taxiway width.

AFCAD2 Files For South Africa V1

Nine South African airports receive alignment with SA CAA layouts, featuring improved parking, lighting, and taxiways across FACT, FAGG, FAPE, FAEL, FADN, FARB, FAJS, FABL and FAKM. FAJS specifically shifts runway use to 3L/21R for takeoff and 3R/21L for landing, with other fields maintaining the original configuration.

Norwegian Airports AFCAD2 Files

Gardermoen (ENGM), Torp (ENTO), Vaernes (ENVA), Alta (ENAT), Sola (ENZV), Bodo (ENBO), Tromso (ENTC) and Flesland (ENBR) in Norway receive updated layouts with added GA parking. ENGM uses takeoff on 01L/19R and landing on 01R/19L, all runways remain ILS-equipped, and the work is by V.F. Holderness.
