I used Pratt & Whitney JT9D-7 engines that pump out 48,000 pounds of thrust each. thanks to Joe Van Ewyk for the engine nacalles , and thanks to Paul Steinsberg and Gerry for providing the awesome realistic panel (wich I tweaked a little to make even more so) Also thanks to Viking and the Teamspeak server guys for answering a ton of my questions about development along the way. this project wouldent exist without my my teamspeak pals.

Having picked up this remake of the Boeing 747 SP, I decided it would be a good chance for me to understand and enjoy the X-Plane experience once again. I’ve grown out of using it more and more over the years so this seemed like the perfect opportunity to get back on the horse and just have some fun with it once again!

Preview screenshot

This aircraft was created by modifying an old model made by Sergio and Mohammed, as well as using the basis of the original X-Plane model to make it look the best that it can.

The Hardware

This uses the right hardware for the real thing, putting together a P&W JT9D-7 engine which runs like a titan. It sounds excellent and produces the real power that it should with 48k pounds of thrust being provided from each engine.

This is a fine combination of various little mods and improvements put together by various experts like Paul Steinsberg and Joe van Ewyk. These excellent technical solutions made sure that this felt as authentic as it possibly could at least within the realms of X-Plane. It’s comfortable to fly with and even simpler to master, ensuring that you can get to grips with the average level of performance that you would have expected.

The Detail

Yeah, it looks pretty spectacular. This model carries a real look and feel that makes a massive difference to bringing the whole thing together as one. Not only does this thoroughly improve the overall composition of the aircraft but it makes it more enjoyable to fly. It looks realistic and carries a genuine authority about it – however, its design is not the peak of its qualities.

The detail in the design leads into the cockpit, which means you can make use of some very realistic panels to have a fun and engaging aircraft to fly around with. It’s very easy to use and therefore you can get to grips with the realistic approach being used here.

The development of the detail of the real model is very impressive, with every little thing being considered by the creators to ensure that it looks the part. If you are looking for a truly enjoyable rendition of this aircraft I would happily recommend that you try this out.

It’s about as close to this particular model of the 747 as you are likely to find these days!

Would it work for Microsoft Flight Simulator X because I would like it on Steam as well.

I have an android smart phone. Would it work for mine?

I really like having new planes and I couldn't have been able to get free ones if I hadn't known about Fly Away Simulation
