FSX F/A-18 VFA-106 Gladiators. A set of VFA-106 "Gladiators" textures for the FSX Acceleration F/A-18 Hornet. Strike Fighter Squadron 106 (VFA-106) was commissioned at NAS Cecil Field on April 27, 1984, flying the US Navy's newest tactical aircraft, the F/A-18 Hornet. In the summer of 1999 VFA-106 moved from NAS Cecil Field to NAS Oceana. As the East Coast Fleet Replacement Squadron, the Gladiators' mission is to train F/A-18 replacement pilots to support fleet commitments. By Nathan Havercroft.

FSX F-105 S# 62-4438 Warner Robbins. A repaint of AlphaSim's F-105 S# 62-4438, modified for for Flight Simulator X. The F105 evolved from a project that began in 1951 by Republic Aviation to develop a supersonic tactical fighter-bomber to replace the F-84F. The prototype first flew on October 22, 1955, but the first production aircraft, the F-105B, as not delivered to the USAF until 1958. The F-105D all-weather strike fighter and the two-place F-105F dual-purpose trainer-fighter also were built before the F-105 production (833 aircraft) ended in 1964. During the Vietnam War a large number of the F-105F were converted to the enemy radar jamming F-105G aircraft and specialized in destroying surface-to-air missile sites. These F-105Gs with their unique missions were called "Wild Weasels". Warner Robins Air Logistics Center managed the communications, fire control, bombing and electronic warfare systems for all F-105 aircraft. This repaint was delivered to the USAF in February 1964 as a two seat F-105F. It was later modified to the "Wild Weasel" F-105G configuration and last served with the 116th Tactical Fighter Wing (ANG) at Dobbins AFB before its retirement in 1983 when it was flown to Robins AFB for display. FSX SP-2 Mitsubishi T-2. Japan's first native designed supersonic aircraft. Based on the European Jaguar, which Japan had wanted to buy, the T-2 served as an advanced trainer and enabled Japanese industry to put to use the knowledge and skills acquired from years of license manufacture of Western types. This model has two paint schemes, front seat VC, full animations and 2048x2048 textures. This model was made with the FSX SP-2 SDK, but was not tested in Vista/DX10. By Tim Conrad.

FSX F-16C Texture Fix For Users Of Service Pack 2. While flying the F-16 (Viper) in FSX Service Pack 2, it was noticed that the ejection warning sign was black instead of the normal color and floating due to the installation of Service Pack 2. This package contains the fix to return the warning sign to normal shades of gray matching the fuselage. Use the enclosed texture if you have Service Pack 2 and experiencing the same problem. FSX Tactical Air Command F-15. A repaint of Nathan Fife's McDonnell Douglas F15 Strike Eagle. The first F-15s were delivered to TAC (Tactical Air Command) in "Air Superiority Blue" livery. This paint scheme is of TAC #1. After a short while it was determined that a two-tone gray camouflage was less visible in the gray skies over Europe. The F-15 was conceived and developed just like its nominal predecessor, the F-111, which was another development of the USAF Tactical Air Command (TAC). Designed without role compromise and created for its pilot above all. The F-15 Eagle has since matured and it was without doubt the world's foremost air superiority fighter, having destroyed scores of opponents, from Foxbats to F-4s, in aerial combat without ever sustaining a loss. FSX USAF Thunderbirds F-4. A repaint of Kazunori Ito's McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II. This aircraft is painted in the United States Air Force Flight Demonstration Team livery. The Thunderbirds came up with a new paint scheme in keeping with their streamlined image. An all white painted chassis with distinctive red and blue markings adorned the Thunderbirds aircraft for the first time in 1969 on the F-4 Phantom. Those topside markings, and a large dark blue Thunderbird symbol, was added to the belly of the Phantom. The F-4's large physical size and power did not come without a price. After 518 shows, the energy crisis of the early 1970s, ended the era of the Thunderbirds fuel hungry F-4 Phantom. This Phantom has new afterburner effects and a new panel. FSX MiG Killer F-4 Phantom. A repaint of Kazunori Ito's F-4 Phantom. This aircraft is painted in Vietnam Era low resolution camo .The F-4 is one of the most famous fighter aircraft of the post-World War II era, having been used in large numbers by the air forces of many western nations, where it gradually evolved in capability and mission diversity. The U.S. involvement in the war in Vietnam saw the F-4 utilized in an increasingly multi-role capacity, delivering bombs in huge multi-aircraft formations, shooting down North Vietnamese MiGs, and earning it the name "MiG Killer". FSX VF-84 Jolly Rogers F4 Phantom. A repaint of Kazunori Ito's F-4 Phantom. This aircraft is painted in the livery of the United States Navy VF-84 squadron, better known as the Jolly Rogers. The squadron started its long association with the McDonnell F-4 Phantom II in June 1964. The Bones made a spectacular return to naval aircraft at that time, with the first F-4Bs of VF-84 displaying a waving Jolly Rogers over their tail surfaces. Flamboyant color schemes were not lacking on the US Navy at the time, but this one made a lasting impression. This F-4 has afterburner effects and a new panel. FSX General Dynamics YF-16. A repaint of Kirk Olsson's F-16 Viper for Flight Simulator X. This aircraft is painted in the scheme of the first prototype of the YF-16. The first of the two YF-16 prototypes, designed by a General Dynamics team under Harry Hillaker, was rolled out in patriotic red-white-and-blue colors on 13 December 1973, only 21 months after award of the contract. Initial flight of the YF-16 was from Edwards Air Force Base on 20 January 1974, with General Dynamics test pilot Phil Oestricher at the controls.
